I have had plenty of feedback about ImageWalker 2.30’s user interface; I never intended to be so controversial. Build 47 has some changes to the image view suggested by various users. This stops images being obscured so much and allows the panels to be resized. Download it from here

I am working some really long hours in my day job right now but will keep trying to fix bugs and answer ImageWalker emails when possible. I think build 47 is nearly releasable…what do you think?

ImageWalker 2.30’s user interface is based on one idea: I want to have the image and thumbnails shown as large as possible. Overlaying panels of data seem more space efficient than docked windows on the side. Holding down the control key hides the panels and puts the cursor into selection mode; this allows you to select regions of an image behind panels.

I am finding that I use the panels like, Address bar and search, infrequently so they do not bother me when I show them for a short time. Some users have mention that they don’t like panels covering thumbnails so I might try to improve the format slightly.

Additionally feedback I am getting from many users is that they now use Flickr instead of creating galleries for themselves. I think that Flickr can be a great service; with the uploading feature I will be adding in the final release, it will make publishing images quick and easy.
