Build 72 (download from here) is a quick bug fix for a weird issue where image selection stops working. It also has a couple of fixes for HTML gallery generation when using sub folders. Apart from updating the help and any minor bug fixes I believe this will be the last beta build before the final ImageWalker 2.30 release…fingers crossed ;)

ImageWalker build 69 is now available from here.

In this build the edit description dialog has been reworked to allow you to edit descriptions for multiple images. This is accomplished by clicking ‘Save and Next’ to save the current description and move to the next image.

Spell-check is also working (often requested feature) as you can see by the red underlines on this image’s description. Right click on words to select the correct spelling suggestion.

I have had some really great suggestions lately about new features that could be added to the current ImageWalker web templates. I recently spent some time experimenting with adding navigation links to the bottom of gallery pages as well as the top; similar to what Google image search does.

I found that getting the galleries (with navigation top and bottom) looking correct requires some minor changes to the template format. My concern is that a format change would not be compatible with templates created by other users.

I have decided to not make such a change for the 2.30 release for this reason but will probably undertake template format reforms in the next big release. I would like to use style sheets more and replace some TABLE entries with DIV sections. So much to do and so little time ;)

Build 64 is complete and can be downloaded from here. This build is almost what I want to release and is only missing some minor bug fixes and documentation updates.

Build 64 has the following new stuff:

• Double click on main image switches between fit, fill and 100% scales.
• Right click menu option: Select things that have been uploaded to Flickr.
• Right click menu option: Add selection to playlist.
• Tag menu option: Remove tag from selected items.
• Feature to Add copyright/credits/Photographer Name to IPTC block of multiple images.
• A time delay setting for HTML slideshows.
• Stopped generation of unused files in HTML slideshows.

It is official, ImageWalker is safe to install. The www.safe-install.com web site analyzes software to determine if it safe. Apparently they have scanned files included in ImageWalker’s NSIS deployment package and found nothing bad
